In the UK there is an expression that when one takes a nap, one says they are going to have a 'toes up'. Well,Toots does the same with 'paws up'. She is one relaxed cat, and loves to lay on the lawn and rolls around and around.
Her coat really soaks up the heat from the sun here in the desert so she never stays out in the full sun for very long.

Her other favourite activity outside is digging holes!

Toots was lying on the grass yesterday and the roadrunner came by. She didn't know what to make of it, as roadrunners are quite a good size, as birds go.
The roadrunner was coming for water at the bird bath and Toots was lying close to the bird bath. There was a bit of a standoff.

Hi Joni,
Ah The Toots is a lovely looking cat, she looks to relaxed. I cant imagine what she would make of a roadrunner as its not really the sort of bird that cats would sit and pounce on I suppose.
Nice and sharp and good detail.

Hi Joni,
Toots looks wonderfully relaxed as she takes her stretch in the lush green grass. I don't image she stays out of the shade long with this shinny black coat in the N.M. summer temps.

HI Joni
This could be a double for my cat sushi, who gives me the same pose, except we do not let him out having no front claws, besides he is getting long in the tooth.
A good clear shot sharing bits of daily life.

Hello Joni,
Wonderful cat and wonderful capture very well composed and with great colours and sharpness.
When I was a kid I had one just like this on the photo; it was call ĞMr. Bonifacioğ and was (more than 20 years ago) the only cat I knew that loved David Bawie.
Congrats, mb
