my little 'red' contribution to the hunt.. :-)

shot using the night mode flash in a well tungsten lit room and with a bit of natural light coming in from my right

PP

* cropped, resized & added a slight guassian blur
* background copy layer made & then desaturated
* used the eraser tool on the lips to reveal their original colour
* flattened the layers and applied a canvas texture to the whole image
* then applied a diffuse glow filter (with grain)
* reduced saturation of the red lips by 10% to help the blending process
* created a new fill layer (black), set blend mode to colour dodge and adjusted the master & the fill opacity levels till i got the desired effect, this helped to blend the lips & face better and also softened the whole image while the colour burn blend setting increased the richness of the red
* then applied a filter called 'radiance' that played a little more with the contrasts & highlights and again helped blend the whole image together
* added a new layer and used a mixture of tools on the lip line (clone tool at 14% opacity set first to dissolve and then to darken modes, blur tool mostly at 14% and a little at 22% opacity set to darken, sharpen tool at 22% set to darken)
* added a light wispy mask overlay to the base image (i normally don't go for stylized frames but when i tried it i thought it looked really good and better than my normal frames)
* then added a plain black border on which i placed my little moon monogram
* and finally applied another light wispy overly set at a lighter colour over that

ooh can't believe i remembered all that.. well, i hope you'll enjoy it anyway :-)

now i must get some sleep... night night!

Nice selective coloring. It so stresses this red mood that comes from a kiss. Very nice pp! Looks really good!

How nice composed this nearly half-portrait in the left, also the lot of PP-work you did, your red lips, the darker tones, I like it very well !

I like how you are so creative with the way you process your portraits. I must learn from you, and give it a try. The pose is nice, especially with your eyes closed. The lips, very luscious with the red lipstick. I think this is just great in all aspects. Love the whispy frame thingy you did. Excellent work. And of course, the model is very beautiful.

Hello Ayda. I do appreciate the softness of the photograph, and the choice of crop in your composition. Successful post processing, as the touch of red makes all the difference in the message that is perceived by the viewer. Very nice the opposition between her closed eyes and her lips slightly opened.

I've just taken a glance at your gallery, and I like your style cretive and original. So I could't decide myself to make a choice. At the end of my reflection I was sure this is my preferred. I like the essentiality of this shot, the mysterious atmosphere, the intense expression of the girl (you? a friend of you? a model? these questions increase the mystery)
