Something a little different. I had one of the kittens on the table and it kept trying to come towards me, and I liked the way this one turned out.
NOTE: There was no post processing done to this photo as Roly imagined and commented on. It was cropped and sharpened. Oh, and I believe I cloned out a couple of crumbs of cat food that were beside the kitten. There was much movement because he was scared at being set down alone, so he was quickly trying to get back to me. Period.

I started with a glaring critique because the image appears very spectacular indeed, with an excellent dynamic composition having the little tiger advance towards the camera, some movement captured in the right paw, and a beautifully shallow depth of field. Then I noticed that the depth of field effect was achieved using rather negligent blurring during post-processing, and my enthusiasm dropped. The tail is to blurry, the rear left paw is sharp, probably the image would have been much better in its original state, and that's what my point goes for. And for the model as well.

Bonjour Tracy,

Il est "craquant" ce chaton!
Quelle curiosité, remarque l'objectif est devenu pour lui quelqu'un qu'il connaît bien!
Amicalement Odile

Another really sweet capture! I'm wondering how many times the kitty got too close and you had to move it back before you actually got this shot. :) TFS and have a happy day!

Tracy....

This needs to be on a poster! I don't know what it is about it, but it's a charmer! Poor little fellow, being pushed back again and again for the thrill of a photo op!! (I'm kidding :D) It's just adorable.

from their "aunt" lisa! (I've grown attached to them) LOL

Hello Tracy!
Interesting your point of view and very sweet kitten!
Best regards!
Lili

Hi Tracy
I tried a number of cat photos while I was in the Philippines recently and NONE of them worked out. Cats are hard to photograph. They move quickly in and out of the field of focus, that's the problem.
In terms of composition, light, angle, POV, poise and expression of the kitten, and framing, this is an excellent shot - I love it! In terms of focus, it isn't quite there; the focus is slightly behind its face, stronger on the paws to be exact, as the blur on its eyes doesn't look like motion to me. Although I could be wrong.
Anyway, it's a small detail in my opinion, and a lovely shot.
