[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have a number of New York skyline images taken last October that I have not done anything with. About time to revisit those images. So here is the first of a small series. This one is interesting for two reasons, first the contrast between the old and new construction and secondly the buildings get taller as the you move toward the background.

Now that I have started a "series" I must confess that I probably won't post number two until the weekend. We will be on the road for til then.

This image is framed as the result of perryhooters suggestion regarding yesterday's fireworks posting.

See you all in a few days.

Hio Daniel,
This is a superb composition of the New York skyline in my opinion. Absolutely clear and bright, great different shapes and colours, all presented in a fine black frame. Great posting my friend!

Wow...this one is a stunner! Love the organized composition and use of light, contrast, form. The stairstep of buildings and their different architectural styles gives extra interest and detail to enjoy. The colors are rich and dynamic. What's not to like?!Absolutely excellent:)

Beautiful shot. I like the pillar-box composition, it suits the subject well.

hi dani
I don't like cities, but I like New York
Other places make me feel like a dork
Los Angeles is for people who sleep
Paris and London, baby you can keep
Other cities always make me mad
Other places always make me sad
No other city ever made me glad
Except New York
I love New York

well done

Great use of the zoom, with terrific depth of field keeping the crispy-sharp sharpness all the way through. A nice little 'NY Story' of different architectures - I specially love the red-roofed building and the tiny turret at its top.
Great shot!
