I want to say a BIG Happy Birthday to my Buddy Pierre Frigon who is 88 today! He sure looks young for his old age. Haven't seen much of him around these parts because his wife keeps him so busy, remodeling their estate. Poor Pierre! I hope she will let him eat some birthday cake today and celebrate!

So this is for you Pierre, because you make me smile! And I miss your postings but I know you prefer sleeping indoors!

And as an aside note, this photo is processed very much like my friend Brian does his photos! I just love the way he does things. Now he uses lots of metal objects and since my daddy was a sheet metal man, I fell in love with his work. But I won't be so brash as to "copy" his work, however the next really cool Iron thing I see I may post for him, but he is all the way across the pond, so I feel pretty safe doing this because he can't catch me! LOL!

So I post this today, as I have been studying his processing for a few days now and I just admire it so! I used this face, which is in my backyard, on my Chimnea (a huge stone pot, with a fireplace look to it) and this is a very popular sign around these southwestern parts of the USA. Thanks Brian for teaching me a new way to process pics!

And a VERY Happy 88th birthday Pierre! I hope your honey lets you out for a celebration! If not, I'll eat all the cake for you!

B-)

Linda

Pierre

dear linda.
you have made two people very happy today.

to Pierre i wish a very happy birthday and many more to come.

i love the way you have caught the light on his/her chubby cheeks. even in b/w they exude warmth.
looks like i've got serious competition.
excellent capture.

i am flattered, gobsmacked and overwhelmed by your notes.
your words mean more to me than you will ever know.

your friend across the pond,
Brian. xx

What a cool idea, Linda! I never would've thought that the figure you posted could actually be from a stone pot. Great shot and with the treatment "a la Brian" it looks just wonderful!
Best regards,
Diana

A nice posting for Pierre, I hope he's having a great day! I would like to have seen this before pp too so I could compare. Great textures. TFS and have a happy day!

Hello Linda

What a delightful capture here and a wonderful tribute to a special TL member, I have to personally send a big smile and best wishes as Pierre has been my mentor since my very first posting on TL.

Lovely work for a special person.

Hi Linda
Funny capture and lovely dedication.
Congrats.
Friendly greetings

Well converted Linda and the tight crop works well. Very nice coarser textures have come into play with the PP work.
