[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Haven't had a chance in the last little while, since the Fourth anyway, to get out and just take some photos so I went back into some trip pictures and found this one I like. I suppose since we're doing work on the house, with contractors and such running around inside and outside that the tranquility of this, and the orderliness of it all, is what attracted me at the moment.
The sky was a dull white/grey, and a bit harsh given the time of day, so I did some post in CS2 to add in the blue layer beneath the houses, set some levels and used USB to help sharpness a bit.
Cropped a bit to better set PoV and cloned out some other tourists and distractions.
Shot in RAW, converted to jpeg and bordered, resized and sharpened for TL.

Hi Wilt - this a nice perspective 'compressed' shot, maybe the sky looks a little overdone, but overall this is an interesting photo..
David

WOW.. gr8 composition. How did you manage to get this without a single soul around? Fantastic colors and good PP. Cheers

Congratulations,
Romeu

Hi Wilt..this is nicely composed...nice colors and details.

Roger

Lovely colour and detail in the houses Wilt. A good diagonal view with the perspectives well handled. The sky may be overdone but then again I have seen skies such as that.

The PoV and colours together makes this really charming -- it sets a peaceful mood

Hello Wilt,

A nice place and I admire the interesting details in the local architecture!
Colourful street, effective point of view and good lines for the well balanced composition...

Greetings,
Pablo -

How did I miss this one??? This is marvelous! LOVE all the colored houses! Our Heights area has houses like this! Wooden houses are SO hard to maintain in our heat and humidity! Love how they are all lined up on a hill! Amazing shot, excellent pp work Wilt!

Hello Wilt
Oh very nice shot of the Gingerbread houses in Oak Bluffs?... My sister lives on the island:)
Nice idea with the sky and really a great job cloning out those tourists...

Tricia

Hi Wilt,

Must say you brought out the colours in a most attractive way. Those porches sure look attractive.
Like your composition and hope the end of people running around and disturbing the peace and quiet in your house has or is coming to an end.

Hi Wilt,
I like this one for the architectural style the houses show , the fence out front makes a nice diagonal diversion to the ensemble and talk about colors here some pretty lashy tints and brand new blue sky is also a great plus too as dull grey -white one rarely is an improvement to a cityscape like this one. Excellent PP and tfs this attractive neighborhood ,
