The second in series I started a few days ago of the New York Skyline. This one features the Chrysker Building. I'll be randomly posting during the next week - will be in the Bay Area for a few days, so I'm not sure when you will see number three in this series. I'll let Wikipedia tell you all about the Chrysler Building.

"The Chrysler Building is an Art Deco skyscraper in New York City, located on the east side of Manhattan at the intersection of 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue. Standing at 319 metres (1,047 ft), it was briefly the world's tallest building before it was surpassed by the Empire State Building in 1931. However, the Chrysler Building remains the world's tallest brick building.
Construction commenced on September 19, 1928. In total, almost 400,000 rivets were used and approximately 3,826,000 bricks were manually laid, to create the non-loadbearing walls of the skyscraper Contractors, builders and engineers were joined by other building-services experts to coordinate construction."

hi daniel, i like the framing from the other buildings, really good composition and one step to the left or right and your point of view and comp. probably would of changed so you chose your positioning well,

Hi Daniel,
I've never been to N.Y. but this looks a great shot of it. I like the composition and the lines of the buildings. The street leads me all the way through the frame. Great POV with nice detail.
Nice work.
Regards,
Kevin

Very classic, very well composed, very good photo. I'm sure if i turn the image I will found a place to write and a place to put a stamp. ;-)))

Bravo Daniel.

Jean

Beautiful image, very classic. I guess that's your choice to have retained the convergence of vertical.
Perhaps, should shed some light into the dark parts of the street. But it is a matter of personal taste. you have managed a very beautiful image.

Nice Picture,
Thx.

Great POV to include some street level detail as well as the impressive height of the skyscraper. Amusingly, Starbucks is everywhere...but I also like the round shape of the sign against the hard straight lines of the architecture. The contrasts and the reflection work well, plus the people and cars for scale. The Chrysler Building is featured perfectly in the composition, with excellent use of city context. Super:)

Hi Dan,

Indeed the famous Chrysler Building, must have seen it a dozen times in magazines.
Very impressive achitectural shot - it even makes me feel clautrofobic, would love this for a day or two and then I would need wide open spaces.
Seems difficult with the high buildings taking the light away from the street.

Hi Dan,
You are about 150 miles from my neck of the woods in a land called upstate, which consist of about 99 percent of the area of the state.
Any ways this is a stunning vertical (of course) presentation of this historic skyscrapper.
Dan if you get a chance visit the Adirondack before meandering westward.
Regards, Tom

Hello Daniel, I like the way you composed this one, the details are great and the exposure is very well done, thanks my friend.

Mario

Love it, love it. I was in NYC a long time ago now and still remember my first glimpse of Chrysler as I walked up 3rd Ave. So exciting!

Nicely captured and good to see the detail of a ubiquitous Starbucks on the left.
