hey Emma :-)

i think this is a lovely self portrait and you look very enigmatic and sensual.. the composition is excellent and the angle and pose very striking and appealing.. if you don't mind i answered you request for a workshop just to see if i could give you a little extra drama here!

i'm glad you asked for a workshop as i've always been too shy to do them for anyone for fear they'd be annoyed! ihih, so you'll be my first! uhmm a ws virgin no more.. :D

so i hope you'll like it and you've made a great start to TL life ^_^

Ayda

Hi Emma!
Your self-portrait is a success, no doubt. The crop looks to be too tight on the left, but that boosts or creates mood.
I like both the original and Ayda's WS.

Hi, Emma. I don't normally like portraits but this one cought my attention. It's very difficult angle, and it's very difficult to look good from it, so great!. I like also Ayda's ws.

The photo is instructive. It should be considered a study of form. Well made - I mean both the photo and the subject. Your camera POV is imaginative and deserves to be commended.

I like the picture, for his angle, of course the beauty of the model is already very soft, maybe the only thing that can be done is to cropped the neck that because of the angle seem to big (don't worry in the real life I am sure it is perfect! :-)
I did two workshops just trying some little things , hope you enjoy them, but the picture is already beautiful!

very good self portrait, excellent work

Superb WS's on here by everyone... however just to join the party I did one too! This is a stunning portrait already - well done indeed. You are a great model also. I must say however that the resolution of the image is a bit rough. Try to upload as close to 200k as you can.

Anyway, see WS

Take Care,

Lance

It's just wonderful the way it is!!!
Very nice job!
Take care, Stef

Hi Emma, you recently visited a couple of my shots. I really appreciate and enjoy the fact that you pointed out what you liked and what you could have liked a bit more.

Good direct and constructive feedback from you and I appreciate it.

okay...

Re your self portrait. I like it and I like how it looks in BW. You chose an unusual angle but still have great eye contact that connects with the viewer. The other aspect which I like is that the tones are pretty even, nothing too blown out or super dark (or without any detail).

The only criticism I would have is that there just seems to be a little noise near the chin. Maybe due to the scan or maybe just the limits of your digital camera. But other than that, I like the shot.

All the best.

nice perspective for a portrait, i like it so much, and very pretty model, the mood is correct TFS
