Good Morning! (Afternoon, Evening :o)

I still am having a hard time being a daily visitor to this site so many things to do here at our new house in Vermont and its just too darn nice out to sit at the computer! :O(

This photo I took back in May, I would of loved to have taken a closer shot of this beauty but she was at least 300' away from me and there was NO way I was going to walk down there to get closer..! The road you see this moose on is our driveway, and yes the moose and its moose friend wandered up a bit then actually stayed within site of our house for quite sometime. I'm guessing they were mother and daugther as neither of them had antlers but I can't be sure really. I would say though that they were VERY big!
We had just come in from a hike in the woods with the dogs and were glad that we were inside when the moose were out there walking on our trail!

Hope your all have a great season!

thanks for your visit and your comments too! :)

Fabulous capture Donna!
This little gal is pretty shy, so it is wonderful that you caught her at all. You must be loving your new mountain home :)!

Hello Donna,

Oh,what a thrill! I get excited seeing a rabbit or a lamb on our drive. Imagine meeting something as big and unusual as this!
You got a great shot considering the distance between you and the moose!
I'm sure, from your new mountain home, that you will have many more interesting shots to share with us!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Moooooooooose!! WOW! I can't imagine running up on one of these! how neat! Nice work on this one Donna, sometimes just getting the shot before they run off is exciting! Amazing place to live!

Most people might have the odd hedgehog or mouse come onto their property, but you have moose come to visit! (Not meese?!!) WOW
Good one Donna. Last property you had a HUGE lake and wild storms and now you have wild animals pass by.
Life isn't going to be dull for you, is it?
Wonderful capture here - I look forward to seeing what else you find

I actually saw a deer quite near to the city one morning while I was trying to get some sunrise shots, that was a buzz for me. Nicely composed Donna with beautiful light and colour. TFS,

Hello Donna,

So you keep moose in the garden now, amazing!
I just wonder... what will you do when the hunting season starts, hehehe...
As a matter of fact I have seen moose in my garden too, they were even a couple but that was years ago and not photographically documented..!
A nice catch, maybe she will have a calf next spring...

Greetings,
Pablo -

Donna
Glad you can manage to sneak over to TL on occasion. This is an animal to keep a good distance from, especally if there is a baby. They are most impressive.
