Just a fun shot today. When I first started painting I was a "realist". Every detail had to be perfect. When my eyesight began to get worse, I became an "impressionist" and I've always loved the style. This would be an "impressionistic" photo, as the details are not perfect, however the shot would be pleasing to the eyes, none the less.
So just a nice "painting" for you today! I wish I had time to do art more...but I can't find the time to do anything much anymore, except photography and work.

Remember, the first impression isn't always accurate. If you take the time to get to know a person, get past the outsides, you may find a diamond hiding inside!

Have a great Sunday!
Linda

This does have the feeling of a painting, Linda -- the light is lovely and the vignetting at top and bottom keeps our eyes focused inside the image - a great technique when you are hanging something in a gallery with "competitors"
Great job

Hi Linda,

Silke is right... feel of a painting..
Beautiful share.
All the best, dear friend.

Hi Linda,
30K! Congratulations! :-)
A fine capture of the "wild" nature, although I think it is a tad too dark. Nevertheless the low POV is fine showing these flowers from a special perspective.
Have a great Sunday my dear!
Hans

Another picture with a wonderful feeling to it. This is like a breath of fresh air! The flowers are beautiful and I love the colors!! Have a wonderful Sunday!

Hi Linda

A good water color painting could be created from this superb image. Nice repetition of the red flowers. Tfs!

Hi Linda,
This is nicely composed,Excellent Style Impressions,I think it is a little too
dark. But good strong contrast and colors.
TFS My friend.

Fabulous painting you did with your camera here Linda!
Superb swath of color across the frame.
The impression of beauty is definitely there and captured quite artistically.
Well done.

Hi Linda,
The title renders so well my feeling when I look at this image!
Excellent work with the low light and vignetting! Like women, flowers are most beautiful in the low light! :)
Congratulations! Annie

Hello Linda,a lovely picture with notes that give food for thought.
I have just noticed that with eyes wide open, your shot does look quite 'Impressionist', but with half closed eyes, the flowers become 3-dimensional!
I love the colours.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hiya Linda

What a superb shot here, simple and well composed with excellent DOF. The light is low but I am not complaining I think its superb like that it makes the orange flowers give more warmth to the view. Lovely work

TFS regards Helen

Linda Hi;
I do like your painting - your photographic art very much. I like the colors, contasting light and POV in your composition. You have presented this very well. Your note today is very interesting and your quote is a keeper - that I hope everyone sees.
Congratulations, very well done.

PS - just noticed Houston - I am a little slow - one of my favorite places. I really enjoy the challenge of your traffic and the 59 Diner & Tony's + others restaurants (some may not be there anymore with the work on Interstate near it (I think it was 10).

Hi Linda
I love this, it is extremely pretty and very natural looking. The kind of scenery you never tire, unfortunately mother nature always has the last word.
Lovely shot

great colours, nice soft dreamy atmosphere

nicely done photo.. I love the colors and the strong contrast of the reds reflecting the green surrounding.. the vignette is so good that the eye focuses only on the flowers...

thanks for sharing..

Simple and very effective Linda, we don't always need art to get the image/message across. Good colour and just enough PP work.
David

The impressionists are my favorite painters, so, you understand why I really must add this to my favorites! Congratulations and thank you for sharing this charming "canvas". :) I really love the mood created here by the pp work. The colors...adorable!
I can't remember the last time I used my brushes...but I'm not losing hope, I just keep thinking that one day I will have enough time to do it...

Rich colors!

Richard
