| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is another shot taken before the storms last Friday. These lily of the valley are nestled down in a woodland flower bed by our patio, along with hosta, wild geraniums, sweet woodruff, and ferns.
I call this my hidden garden because so many of its details are only appreciated if you get down close and look for them.
Shot hand-held in natural light. PP included cropping, light sharpening and framing. |

I think the DOF here works very well, and also the white in the center (like a thick line) in a so wide green field gives a good graphic sensation.
I like it

Lilly of the Valley are one of my favourite early spring flowers. I grow them too, or I should say they grow themselves between the fence. I agree, one has to get right down on the ground to appreciate their beauty. Your shot turned out just like mine with a nice dark background. Love it, and so clear and sharp.
Very good close-up, colours and details. I love the composition.
Have a great day, Yan

Morning Kimberley
I was attracted by the soft lighting on the Lily-of-the-Valley. As others have said the DOF works well here in the soft light. After reading your bio I was curious which camera you were using. TFS

this is amazing, i love the subject matter, the flowers are beautiful, and the blurring and the mood are spectacular
