[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A storm hovers over a Wisconsin landscape increasingly dotted with wind turbines. The state is increasingly pursuing alternative energies, and windswept hillsides like these are suddenly empty no more.

As with most stories, this one has two sides. It's a chance for some local farmers to make more money from their land. But the governing bodies of these communities are often concerned about the perceived financial, environmental, and sometimes even liability implications of the turbines.

Some local communities have developed ordinances to regulate the turbines and are proceeding with caution.

Hi Jim,
Great POV of the fields and the wind turbines. Let's popularise clean energy! :)
I also like the exposition of clouds and sky, this light condition gives the image a special mood. Great shot! TFS
Best wishes,
Kristof

Hi Jim,
Very moody photo with this dramatic sky! The nuances of clouds are so well rendered and the rows on the fields give interesting textures and contrastes. The placement of the turbines is at the right place in the composition.

Here, we have the same ethical and economics préoccupation about this parrallele energy. Not easy to reconcile economic and energetic development with the safeguarding of the landscapes which have a recreotouristic potential of development! In my area, at least!
Best regards!
Annie
