Morning Reflections

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Finally, morning, and a new beginning. Gone is the tormented spirit of the day and night before, the furious face of the ancient lake trying to release itself from the holds of its rocky basin.
Gone are the crashing whitecaps, the stinging spray, the white-knuckle grip on the paddle. Gone is the fear of capsizing in the storm, in water just one or two degrees above freezing, alone and miles from anywhere, and surrounded by a million acres of impenetrable forest.
Gone is the moment the canoe again touched dry land, the flood of relief at making camp before nightfall, and the sound of distant thunder echoing among the hills.
Now, there is only stillness. A rude introduction, but here now is a side of the lake I can really communicate with. Dip the paddle in, long silent stroke. Let's talk...
Taken just after sunrise, Angleworm Lake, BWCA.

Hi brian
Lovely mirror image! The lake is so still!
I like the natural landscape and you have captured an interesting pov - really leads the eye to the left of the picture.
Nice shot
cheers
