[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Arches National Park has been in the news lately because one of its most accessible arches - the wall arch - recently fell and is now gone forever.
This is a shot of the more famous arch - Delicate Arch. This arch is the flagship arch and has probably been photographed countless times. To get to this view point you have to hike about 3 miles round trip.
It was my goal to shoot the arch in a different way. Hard to do since probably every angle and time of year has been shot. Luckily, these 2 Ravens were nearby and were so human friendly (they were actually highly skilled beggers) that I was able to get behind them and include them in the shot. Looking at the shot now you could imagine that they are debating the beauty and relevance of the arch itself like something in a Farside cartoon. One raven could be saying "I don't see what the big deal is!" Anyhow, here is my take. Thanks goes to the ravens. The guy in orange on the left provides some scale as well.

Nice shot. In fact two nice shots I'd say.

I think the top landscape is great. Beautiful colours and fantastic view. The person next to the arch adds some interest and perspective to the shot.

The bottom part is great too. It does look like the left raven is telling something to the right raven. I like the silhouette of the ravens against the orange background.

I think the top and bottom parts would do well as two separate photos.

Great capture Mike. The detail in the arch is wonderful. The lines and different colors in the rock is nice to look at. The faded mountains in the BG really add to the composition. The ravens are a nice added touch.

imaginative story with interesting composition.the contrast of strong colors- orange and black present this shot very outstanding as well as sharpness present texture of arch and background very well.the man give good sense of scale as well(he quite a little and harmony to surrounding ,if you not tell may be I not see him :)
