[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Great Basin National Park is often overlooked due to its somewhat remote location in eastern Nevada. For me, when planning my 7 week photography road trip, the decision to visit this national park came at the last minute. I'm very glad I did.
The park boasts fantastic camping at 10,000 feet elevation, a breath taking hike to the top of Wheeler Peak (13,000 feet), one of the southern-most glaciers in the United States, and a bounty of beautiful primroses by the creekside near Stella Lake.
If you are ever in eastern Nevada during the summer or early fall this park is a must stop. There is no park fee which is always a bonus!
