[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
You are looking at the South Fall one of ten waterfalls at Silver Falls State Park near Salem, Oregon. If you look closely at the trail that passes behind the falls, approximately the middle of the image, you will see a number of hikers.
We met our son who was in the last week of a six week photo "safari" (TL's mpr) at Silver Falls. He posted a similar image of the South Falls on 9/2/08. Well worth a look.

Fabulous Pov and details in this and the scale is most impressive. I am amazed that anyone would work their way long such wet rock!

A beautiful, impressive shot. The hikers there give the scale of the waterfall. I like the fresh green colours and the star shaped flow at the point the fall meets the little lake at the bottom.

Hello Daniel
I love your picture. I feel a certain .. freshness about it, obviously coming from the dynamic of the water fall!
I have added you to my favourite members and will continue to follow your work, I have a lot to learn!
Take care,
Vicky

Hi Daniel. Nice capture of great fall. Hikers look so small we can imagine the size of the water fall. Well composed and beautiful natural colors. TFS regards - Adil.

That trail really shows just how BIG this thing it! WHAT a great shot Daniel! LOVE the water blur, the simplicity of the falls, just stands out so well here. Love this!!

Hello Daniel, 1/8th gave your shot a great effect, well composed shot, fine image and great technique, thanks!

Mario

Those hikers are indeed very small walking their, but what a great view they must have walking underneath the falls!
Dan, I will look up your son's picture as well.
That shuttertime provided you with a very attractive splash at the bottom of the falls,

Hi Dan,
I'm so far behind in my posting and critiquing I'm having trouble getting back in the groove. But this shot zapped me back into making the time to say something about it:) Or course, the first thing that comes to mind is: Wow! I can hardly separate my reactions between the scene itself and your expert capture of it. The waterfall has a unique luminous quality that is almost mesmerizing, and then the other details start to come into play, creating the full impact of scale and natural beauty. Wonderful clarity and color richness. Wow turns onto Ahhhhhhhhhhhh:))))

Beautifully captured. Nice use of the slow shutter, beautiful rich saturation and excellent detail.
I love the inclusion of the people on the trail, it gives a fantastic sense of perspective that would otherwise be missing.

One last critique before we hit the road (^_^),

We are leaving for Saint-Simeon to meet Oeilmagique, our TL buddy.

Lovely remote place to discover and a quite dip, Thanks for pointing out the trail. It gives a completely different perspective about it's size!

Wonderful POV and light management here.
Enjoy your weekend!
Robert
