Sunset amongst the ancient bristlecone pines up in the White Mountains. Bristlecone pines are some of the oldest living trees in the world and are amazing to see up close.

Hi Mike,
Awsome sunset colours on this special plant. The blue skies works great as background, and the vegetation at the bottom gives an interesting texture.
Great shot, well represented scene!
TFS!
Best wishes,
Kristof

Ahhhhhhh I have seen this one and was impressed then and now. Great evening lighting - looks like a big snake is wrapped around the middle of the tree on the right. Keep them coming.

That golden light is mesmerizing Mike.
Especially because the subject is so interesting.
Nicely picked out and captured. The blue sky behind it is just perfect.
Excellent work.

The warm sunset light creates a beautiful orange glow on the tree, nicely complimented by the blue sky background. Your POV gives us excellent viewing angle for making the tree look even more impressive than it already is. The twisted, gnarled detail is fascinating. Stunning shot and well handled!

Absolutely fantastic colors, I just love these tints. Overall, your gallery is more than impressive. Fantastic job, generally original and technically flawless :)
