I live very close to the Rio( River) Grande and just a short hop up the road is the River park, which is hugely popular in summer as the Rio Line with Old Engine #63 as one of its star attractions, runs along the perimeter of the park.

I love trains and the sight of these minatures chugging along always gladdens my heart.

The park has activity for everyone along with a train station and a pond for fishing. One can hop on the train and go to the Zoo and the Botanical garden.

A wonderful resource in the middle of Albuquerque.
I am a country girl and can manage living in Albuquerque with having the Rio Grande and its attractions so close. I spend a lot of time walking along the river watching the birdlife. Every once in awhile a coyote crosses my path.

PP work
Oh dear--I posted this very late on Thursday evening; I was really tired and didn't even notice the image was skewed and the horizon unlevel.Thank you to fellow TL member Peter ( peterhanington) for straightening out the image in a WS. That will teach me for trying to do PP work when I should be in bed!

Hi Joni,
Nicely captured classic rail vehicle in beautiful colour. The park must be nice, too. Simple subject, but creative realization of the theme. I like the simple, but thick frame around it. It makes your image more impressive. Good job, TFS.
Greetings,
Kristof

Hola Joni,
simpática escena,
color y compo,
buenos detalles de este tren clásico.

Hi Joni...

Nice theme park image - speaks of fun.

I think the image suffers from fact that the composition appears to be tilted towards the viewer, and is off the level. I have done a WS that will give you an idea of how to correct the problem.

Peter

Hello Joni,

I copied and pasted your interesting shot to see if I could correct the aspect. On returning, Peter has already done a w/s which corrects the problem perfectly.

I love the content; it reminds me of Thomas the Tank Engine stories. Lovely, classical framing.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

HI Joni
I recnetly took photos of a similar train in New Brusnwick, they are quite appealing especially for photo taking.
A good sharp perspective on a really bright day.

Hi Joni
Good additon to the Friday Theme. Colorful little "guy". I imagine the kids keep it bury on the week ends.
I too noticed the tilt and discovered it had been taken care of.

Hi Joni again,
It's always great to have ladies in the train club. :) You show us an old narrow gauge steam engine, a very photogenic one indeed. Yes, the image turns to right a bit, but by my opinion Peter's version is oversaturated. Your colors are better. Tfs.
Best wishes, László

I like this Joni,
Good color and light.
WEll done
Mari
