[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On my recent 7 week photography road trip I made sure I spent some time in the White Mountains of California's Sierra Nevada mountain range. One of the biggest attractions here is the ancient bristlecone pine forest. Some of these Trees are the oldest living Trees in the world. They have adapted well to the harsh environment and high elevation (10,000 feet) allowing them to endure for thousands of years.

Another photo taken at near sunset is here.

Hello Mike,
It is indeed a big attraction.
You have captured beautifully.

Friendly Greetings

Hi Mike,
It looks like this one didn't make it but did leave an impressive history behind. I love the odd shapes and the wonderful details in the trunk. Its position is very impressive. I am amazed how it was able to survive with these rocks under his feet. The CP filter gave a wonderful rich color to the entire photo.
TFS,
Niek

Hello Mike,

Fantastic capture.
Excellent composition and light.
Good details.

I love shooting old trees like this Mike.
This is a perfect example of where the light should be and where one should stand.
The partly clouded sky mixed with the deep blue is quite eye catching.
Well done.

This one needs to be downloaded to the other website. The Tokina did a wonderful job for you. Well saturated colors, great clarity and composition. This is the best of the two.

An incredible old tree, and equally incredible shot. Excellent POV and light, with rich detail and a sense of openness looking upward toward the sky. I like the multi-armed look of this majestic survivor, and enjoy seeing it posted here. Well done:)

Hello Mike, the tree is like a sculpture, it is quite majestic, standing pointing up to the sky.
The brown of the wood looks good against the bright blue sky.
Lovely sharp details.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Mike. I like this tree even better than the last one. Strong FG rocks with interesting angles. The tree and sky contrast are great.
I just figured out that I like both your and your fathers pics. Well seen and captured. TFS. Karin
