I found out that my cat, The Toots is a very special pedigreed cat-a Bombay. A cat fancier friend of mine came over the other day with an article on Bombay cats, and there was The Toots looking at me from the magazine. The Bombay is a cross between the American Shorthair and a Burmese. They are named after the black panthers in India. As a breed they are still quite rare.

Bombays have large round copper eyes, patent leather like coats and muscled bodies. Bombays have very charming personalites. They greet people at the door; in our case she greets people on the walkway of the condo complex where I live, fetch and are very playful and kittenish. This is her 'rub my tummy' and 'I am soaking up the sun' pose.

Tootie, of course is not papered, but I have told her she is a very special cat. Of course she knows that. When I left Ireland I could not dream of leaving Tootie behind. She flew across the pond with me in the cabin, on the seat in her little carrier. Not a peep out of her for the 19+ hour journey.

There is OE on the small flowers. It is challenge shooting in full sun in the New Mexican desert. The sun is so strong and I may not have had my camera metered perfectly for the conditions.
Toot has debris on her from rolling in the grass. I chose to leave it rather than clone it out.

Hello Joni,

I love cats too and this is a particularly attractive 'come and love me' pose.
Very nice composition.
I do feel, however, that it is lacking a little sharpness. Perhaps it was moving as you clicked the button.

Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Joni Hi:
Wonderful cat and wonderful pet image you have composed.
Thanks for the educational note, your cat is a special cat and well
traveled.
As to sharpness, I wonder, if there is a problem, it is the glare of the bright sun more than anything else. I am no expert, by any means, and I must admit that sometimes my old eyes fool me. I also think that different computer monitors show our image differently, as each is adjusted for each persons preferences.

Hi Joni,
Toots is very lucky to have you and vice versa. She looks so cute in this position, she appears ready for playtime and her belly begging to be scratched. Best regards, Danilo
