[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken during a 10 day tour of Arizona and surrounding states in september of this year.
I have'nt had a lot of time since returning to sift through the many images I took on this trip, but will post many over the comming weeks. Before this trip i've hardly had time to pick up the camera let alone photo editing and posting here on Treklens, but hopefull that will all change now.

PP resized, levels adjusted, B&W via channels mainly in the red channel for the blackened sky and finally resharpened.

Thanks for looking.

Superb B&W shot, very good POV, well done Dean.

you managed the light perfectly to make this B&W, it's not easy to make a good B&W landscape photo, you did it !

Great shot, nice and contrasty. The interesting cloud helps the image quit a bit. What do you think of cropping a wide bottom stripe at the points where the roadside touches the frame? I think it would make the image much more interesting. Well chosen point of view.

I just really love photos like this, because the color removed, leaves the view with less distraction. The view is just amazing. Almost looks like an HDR image! I love the low profile to the road! Super nice Dean!

Excellent B&W and composition.
Congratulations

Hi Dean,
Happy to see y'r back! Great Black & White impression of this awesome area. treat contrast without OE or UE Like the POV the road take my eye to the interesting scene.Maybe a more panoramic view with the picture cropped from the dges of the road would give the image a more stronger view. See WS.
Anyway a fine posting my friend, keep them coming!

Nice!
One of the few B/W landscapes that works (for me).

Great job!

Hi Dean,

Long time no see, this works very well, good sky, like the good old days with a red filter
and the road leading you towards the mountain from the low angle works well.

Douglas

hello dean!
beautiful b&w photo with nice composition.

Very surreal image, very well captured in black and white. Reminds me of the landscape in Close Encounters of The Third Kind!
