[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Many people who visit Bryce Canyon National Park take in the grand view along the rim high up above. However, to get a more unique and profound view of Bryce one must hike within the canyon itself. My favorite trail was the 8 mile (12.8 km) Fairlyand/Rim Trail. This trail gives you a chance to get an intimate view of the lesser frequented locations in the park.
This shot is probably more of snapshot then some of my more usual stuff but I really like the textures and shapes on display.

PP: Levels and exposure compensation in RAW. Sharpened and re-sized for TL.

From this angle you really get a different view of the Hoodoos - looking up at them instead on down. The lighting is even and well captured but lacks the punch of the early morning or evening light. Detail and composition spot on.
