[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi All, First off HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRICIA!
heres a photo from my walk I took down our mountain yesterday. Snow has fallen on Vermont in an early October storm. The colorful leaves that are still lingering here and there really give the snow a colorful accent!
Took this with my new 300mm no tripod, too heavy to carry too far...

Nice work Donna! So pretty! Looks cold and slippery too!! Hey, try this...up the Fstop to 22 and take a long exposure and see if the water blurs...I love it when that happens! Oh, you would need a tripod! Nice work, how pretty!

Well done, Donna.
The snow is getting the feeling of cold. I would guess, some ice too, on the right slope. Same advice like Linda regarding to try slower shutter speed as slow as you can get w/o tripod [usually with 300 mm lens you should have a image stabilization function that helps a lot]. Good luck. Regards, Stefan

Welcome back Donna. I miss your GL shots, but seems you have found this beauty where you are now. I am glad you did not use the slower shutter speed as I like the more natural look on this, which I think suit’s the feeling of cold. When the water slows down it seems to warm up the image (if that makes any sense). We got the snow here as well and it was not much fun. Great posting.
Warmest Regards
Wanda
