The Cold Seat
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Taken in a small park in my neighborhood in the Northern suburbs of Pittsburgh on a rare day of winter sun. A stream runs behind the tree and bench. It was cold enough that no one was in the park that morning.
Taken with my new Canon 50D. I'm still learning my way around this camera but I think I am going to love it! |

Hello Sandy,
melancholic and poetic composition with avery good light and composition. A beautiful image with a great mood.
Congrats, mb
HI Sandy, It almost looks like the tree is pointing down at the bench just daring anyone to sit there!! Very cold looking, yet the sun shines to warm it up a bit. Terrific looking tree with all of the branches. It forms a nice, natural frame for the bench.
Nice observation. I hope you had a thermos of hot coffee or tea! Lisa
The cold, the empty bench could also very well stand for loneliness, departure, melancholy, a winter of the soul...
Well seen and taken, Sandi! Have fun with your new toy! :)
