Pretty Female Cardinal
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I shot this the other day from the workshop in previous post. I was shooting through a thermopane window & was bout 6 ft away from the bird. Most like the bright red male but I love the subtle colors of the female cardinal. Photo cropped some & PP in PSE 6.
Thanks to all who view or critique! Hope you enjoy, :} Don |

Beautiful shot...
Nice composition...
Beautiful bird...

Nice Don. I like the face-on view, which really accentuates that large beak and the "mohawk". I had no idea that the females were this color. We don't see cardinals this far north which is unfortunate - I think they're so beautiful and have a nice song too. Great shot.

Hi Donald,
I like the sharpness in this picture. Nice details in her feathers and the line she is perched on. Her pose is nice and the shallow dof is excellent. Very nice work.
Regards,
Kevin

A strong composition Donald.
I love the way that the cardinal is looking straight at you.
The colours and sharp details are wonderful.
The blurred bg works really well .
Tfs, regards Jean.
