Ayda,
I feel like a fly that is hypnotized by the light in your picture. The colors are superb, i.e. the shadow of the fan..Nicely done.

Ayda... I remember this one. The geometrics are nice here... what I really like is how the blacks are really deep.
The light from the bulb and thru the blades make for interesting shadows on the ceiling.
Good stuff.

I remember this one very well!! And I criticized it then as I will now ;-)
I love the lighting of this photo, it reminds me of the old Italian movies I used to see when I was younger... That by itself is reason enough to like it, but then there's also the composition, which is so well mastered and the special detail of movement that really makes this photo come to life!
Great work Ayda!
Brava!

Hi Ayda!
You seem to be able to "go poetic" on every subject... now thats a gift you know! This repost is indeed better than the version before. Your post is a good example also of what a note can do to a photo... I will never look at a fan in the same way again!
May you be given wings to fly, one day!
Maybe one more thing to the photo, removing the electrical guide strip by cloning would bring symmetry to the picture.
But it is minor, the idea you put in this pic is loud and clear.

Wings of light..... like angels, mmmmm, I love angels and here is a "modern" one:-))
I read your (long) note and I like it together with the picture, you can write in a fine way...

Wow Ayda, this is almost perfect. B&W sure is excellent for this kind of moody shots, and you found a nice equilibrium between motion and sharpness. I also like the "mirrored" effect of the light on the ceiling (1 beam in the front, two pairs in the back) and of the blades (2 pairs in the front, one in the back). Weird.
TFS and... sweet dreams ;o).

Hi Sweetheart,
I think I saw this one before.. Very nice one. The sense of motion is just great and the low light and the shadows make a very special mood. I like the fact that it's spreading light all over, lighten up your life a bit ;))
take care my dear
big hugs, Stef

Creative shot! You make me wonder why I never thought of that! Personally, I'm glad you kept the 2 cords; I think they create the necessary balance in this picture. Great job!

I remember this fan when you first posted it, but I thought at the time is was rather uninteresting...but you know what, I was wrong. I guess the PP you've done it has brought some life into it. I like the ghostly shadows of the blades whizzing around, and the soft light on the ceiling. I'm glad you've reposted it as it gave me a second chance to study it..now its very good.

Hummmm! The POV and the action here, is well taken... Action.. I mean movement! the pales have a nice bluring effect caused by the rotation. I like the shadows effect too!
Great shot!

Yes this is a special image... I really like the positioning and all those tones of grey. You seem to have captured the full range. A point of interest though, perhaps the image could be improved by deleting/cloning out the cable trunking on the ceiling... just a thought.
Isn't it lovely how the most mundane things that we look at every day can look so lovely through thelens of a camera. Photography has taught me not to take for granted the things we see around us. I has made me look all the more closley.
The motion of the wings/blades is also very nice, in fact it make the image special.
Take Care,
Lance

A really great image, Ayda! I also like sleeping with a fan, it is very soothing with the white noise. I like the choice of B&W. You have a steady hand to shoot this without a tripod.
Cheers,
Alli

Interesting comparison of the fan and the angle wings. I imagine that.. when we get home after a tiring day, laying on the bed and feeling the fresh breeze makes us ponder about it al..
