I took this while visiting with John (muffled) last week. He had been telling me how his cat, Trouble, liked to drink water out of the faucet in the bath room. Well he wasn't kidding. Here is proof positive. Notice how I missed the quick toung stroke but caught the perfect letter J from the broken stream of water.

Very nice shot. As someone who has a cat, I know that it is sometimes very difficult to get "action" shots... Very nicely done with the contrast and the sharpness overall. Did you blur the background? Just out of curiosity, did the cat mind behing photographed? And how far were you from Trouble?

For me a believe you without picture...
Ma cat do the same. I would like to take her in photo but the faucet is too low, it don't give a good POV.
Without the tongue, we have the feeling the cat inspire water :o) Great one!

A really amazing capture - it seems to be against the laws of nature how the water is curving. My cats are always drinking water from any available source including the toilet if we don't keep it shut!

Perfect focus and POV.

Now i wonder how you got the cat to preform on the day that you were there Jim.. LOL.. SMART cat.. SMART photographer.. Fantastic shot...well done.
Regards
Dawn.

Hi Jim....This is amazing. I have seen cats do this, but your capture of the actural action is incredible. That Nikon, that lens must really be something in the hands of such a talented photographer.
The "J" in the water sculpture is for Jim and John, of course! TFS...:O)

Nice one Jim! I like the perspective :) It was a close one though and Hey! The 'J' for Jim :) Just kidding... Great one! Certainly one of my Favourites... :)

Take care...
- Hima.

Hey! I have seen this D*** cat somewhere before! This is the first time Ihave seen this pix. You really stopped action here! I am amazed at the resolution of that lens, it really brings out the detail. You can see her over abundance of whiskers on one side and lack thereof on the other! Exquisite photo of less than perfect model!

Perfect timing Jim. I see you had no 'trouble' in getting this shot. I'm amazed at the speed of 60 captured the J trail of water so well. You must have a good camera. Nice to know you and John are friends and get together. Cute cat. My Tinka also does the same thing, so I can really appreciate this one.

Great capture, very good timing and very well composed. The image is detailed were it should be and is really a amazing shot!
