[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The red macaw is an icon of sorts and is a prized pet. The numbers are gradually decreasing as a result of the rapid deterioration of the forests. The deforestation is avoidable but econonmic pressures usually triump over saving this endangered species. The geographic range of this species is limited to the South and Central America; it is common in the Amazon basin and is found in the canopy of rainforests. These birds are brightly colored, ranging from deep scarlet to yellow and blue. A very smart bird which has been acquired by the Point Defiance zoo and taken good care by the keepers will be around for many years and like parrots they can live upto forty years.

Wonderfully done SHAUKAT BHAI,
Well detaild shot, especially the focus on eye is good. I tried many times to capture Macaw bbut unfortunately have been unable o get some presentable shot bbut your's one is great.
