[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken yesterday at a local park in the morning. I finally had some time to get out with my camera and take a few shots after a few busy months at work and home. These geese were getting ready to land on the water so I took the opportunity to work on some panning techniques. I think it turned out ok; however, maybe it could be a tad sharper. Anyway, I liked the shot so I thought I would post it. Have a great day and thanks for viewing.

Regards,
Kevin

Great panning here Kevin! You caught them just right! This is very sharp, and I like the motion of the water! You can almost feel how fast they were going! Nice job!

Hi Kevin,
Excellent action shot, although a tighter crop might even improve this image. The reflection is superb. Great catch Kevin!

Great shot, Kevin!
I love birds in flight and this is an outstanding catch with them in full flight. I love the light and the reflections are brilliant. Excellent job of panning, too. Beautiful! Many thanks and kind regards,
Shelly

Hi Kevin,

The geese indeed could have been more sharp, that's to bad, but otherwise this photo would be perfect.
Perfect timing. Great environment and nice colours/ contrast. Nice job!

hi Kevin

1/100s and you were able to freeze the birds so perfectly! Obviously to stop a bird with 1/100s is not possible, so your panning skill works very well here.

I especially like the reflection on the water. Good work.

Hola Kevin,
hermosa captura y sobresaliento pov,
buen encuadre y detalles,
saludos

Good technique to get the birs as sharp as you have with this shot, and excellent POV to capture their reflections on the water as well. A nice natural action shot.
Thanks for sharing
Mark

Hi Kevin,
A really good effort here, panning is something not that easy to master , i agree with you the birds are soft-focused but frankly not by much oh not by much , Man 1/125 would have done it, the flapping of the wings i think ,it turned out ok but hey there's a lot of birds out there to go try again ,panning is an excellent photographic exercise and one i should try myself more often, tfs,
Carol

Hi Kevin,
This panning photo is so interesting. Indeed, with the reflections of the birds, the image seems really to have a 3D effect.
Very well done! Annie

i agree completely, yes a touch sharper would of worked but still a success in panning, it really shows motion, i suck at panning and you did well here i know how hard it is, great effort!
thanks,
scott

Very nice control of your shutter and camera shake. Well done! The motion blur made it better

HI Kevin
They are now arriving here by the thousands white and canadian and its good to hear them and gather in the fields accross the road.
The reflection is awesome and the lead goose really seem to be quacking her directions for landing.
Excellent post
