Well, yesterday I got up early and went to a garage sale/auto swap meet at Six Flags Over Mid-America. They gave up their parking lot for a day for this event. I spent a good amount of time shopping for junk (got hardly anything), talking to an old high school buddy and his girlfriend and walking around practicing shooting people and their stuff. I'd already blown half the day doing that, so I figured what would be the harm if I took the "long way" home? So, heading home I took a couple roads I had never been down (at least, not in recent memory) - ended up going in circles and at dead ends once or twice. One of the circles afforded me this image, I was driving by that farmhouse with the nice, white picket fence around it and noticed their were several llamas behind the fence. Well, that's not something you see everyday here in Missouri, so I got out of my car to see what sort of image they might make. Little did I know there were two BIG dogs laying around with the llamas, but they knew it was time to step into action. They were like bouncers at a bar or ushers at a show - "NO PHOTOGRAPHY HERE!" was the apparent message. I couldn't get them both on the fence, as the longer I was there, the more used to me they got and eventually I was allowed to take several uninteresting shots of their charges. Even though I got this guy in between barks, I liked this photo best. Both dogs took turns getting in my face.
This was shot on a cloudy, cruddy morning in Allenton, Missouri, which is now incorporated into Eureka, Missouri.
Have a great Sunday! |

HAHA! I love this! Life just jumping into the shot! No matter how you try and get the shot, it just doesn't work out sometimes! HAHA! I understand your frustration! Nice "everyday life" photo!
B-)
