This was a handheld shot taken at the Abiline 4th of July display in Abiline Tx. This is how it came out of the camera, only processing is to flip vertically and to resize for upload.

Looks almost like a nice flower! Great!

This is superb, it could easily be a dandelion or Allium. A great capture, well done!

Wow that's such a cool shot. I'm hoping to get a nice fireworks shot here in another few weeks with the 4th of July coming up. Great shot and thanks for sharing it with us.

seems black and white, aesthetic explosion, I like the centring, very good shot.

If you follow the rule and use a tripod, the photo won't be cool like that one! THat's why i often say... Rules are just suggestions.

And i admit i would probably show i firework in color. But in enjoy very much the B&W version... A lot! YOu can try to pretend it's a detail from a plant in a particuliar view and it would be very credible :)

Amazing shot! It is really beautiful. I thought at first it was sheared cactus plant. Then I read the title, "Fireworks".So i though you did protrusions of the firework flare. finally the note says nothing done to the photo. Amazing!

Hi Jeff:

This is a very beautiful shot; at first glance I thought it was a flower. Great photo. I also see that you recently switched to Canon 20D. I have one and went back to film (Canon 20d) but though I find the results more pleasing, I do miss the convinience of being able to make my pictures without waiting until a complete a roll of film. What are your thoughts on the 20D?
