I had a wonderful adventure yesterday. My neighbor and friend owns a SeaPro Center Console boat with a 100 Yahama engine and I was invited to spend the day "cruising the waters" surrounding our beautiful coastal area. It was my very first experience to enter this unknown world of peace, serenity and incredible views of nature at Her finest.
I was most intriqued by the mirrowed reflections of everything along the river banks. I happily took many photos, including Jimmy Buffet's sister's home, where he spends a lot of time.
This is just some Queen Anne's Lace growing along the riverbank and reflected in the water.
It was wonderful to view the world from a new perspective and be given the opportunity to photograph some different types of scenery...

Thank you for your continued support. Encouragement is a wonderful thing!.......:O)

Hi Kathleen

Wonderful reflections in the pond, with excellent lighting, color, & sharpness. Well done!

Wow! I love reflections right up there with sunsets! This is fabulous and exhibits beautiful composition and exposure. I kept looking for the snake but never did find him but I bet he is in there somewhere! Thanks for sharing your aquaric adventure with us!

Lucky you cruising along in the boat. Did you wear your famous hat. Queen Anne Lace must one be the prettiest of the wildflowers to see along the river bank. This is a great view Kat. Nicely composed with more of the reflection that the bank. May I suggest a white frame instead of the green. This way the photo will stand out more.

Lovely reflections here and nice the way the water colours towards the bank.I think a little usm is necassary when shrinking an image to this size.I think I might have rotated a little to line up the reflection

Very good!
Regards,
Carla

What, no Gator?
Excellent capture and well done on the composition.
How about a Gator next time.?

Mike

Photographing from a boat, you can find "other" details then....
This is a peaceful landscape, I like the softness and the reflections, it could be a painting too, nice Kathleen !

The point of view is very special! It give the impression the lace floating in both sides... Reals and reflected ones..
Beautifull!

Nice shot. I like your ability to catch the vivid reflections on the water. I've never been to or heard of Magnolia springs, maybe I will have to find it and take me girlfriend and go there for a week.

When we got married we took our guests around the city of Lier in a small boat, that was used for fishing eals in the early 1900's. I lived in Lier for 13 years, but had never seen the city as it appeared before us from the water. So, I think your neighbours are fine people, asking you to join them, Kat. You took advantage of the new surroundings in a way only a photographer does: with your camera and enough memory left on the cards ;o).
Nice capture and a beautiful reflection indeed, though I think the shot is somewhat tilted. And I agree with Diana about the frame, it's a tad too dark for the picture. Nice compo! TFS.
