[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A small paddleboat on the Brazos River. It makes dinner runs up and down the river. It was the little sister of a much larger riverboat which had to be dismantled after the river flooded and the boat took on water. Hopefully this one will stay for awhile.

Wish this was a little bigger, but this is cool! Why isn't the Brazos muddy? It's down here at this end! Yikes! I love this area of Texas, hope to live there someday! I see alot of sharpening marks, Dude you gotta get you a bigger camera! You got the eye! There are also free photo programs online that are really nice! Keep shootin!

Actually, that one almost sank as well. During the flooding up here a couple years ago, the owner set the bilge pump incorrectly and ended pumping water into the boat rather than out! As far as I know, it just got stuck in the mud and was repaired in fairly short order.

I see this was a film scan. It seems a little too contrasty for my taste and your background seems to have a bit of a blue cast to it. I like the framing of the paddle boat, though.

I find the best tool in my photo arsenal is my shoe zoom. If you can get closer, it usually results in a stronger photo.

I've started a local photo group here in the Waco area. ( http://www.flickr.com/groups/hotps ) We meet on the 4th Sunday of the month to go out shooting somewhere in the area. We'd love to have you along!
