on saturday we left our house which was sunny and 75 degrees (F) 23 (C) and took an hour ride to the ocean where it was dark, foggy and about 56 (F) 13 (C) degrees.... life lesson check beach weather before I pack up the car and kids...
we took a quick walk up the beach and back to the car then had a nice picnic in the car then headed back home where it reached in the mid 80's for a high!

anyway... this photo...
covered is what comes to mind...
I liked the green moss like stuff covering the rock..
looks like it has won the battle until the tide comes back in..

shot raw
converted in photoshop elements
opened in photoscape
cropped
applied auto color enhance

hello tricia

i like this shoot
the green on the rock contrasted against the grij from the water
its simply but beautiful

I have YET to make my first beach trip...soon I hope! No swimming eh? NO surfing? I see a big wave...but I guess if there is rocks it's a no-go right? I like that saturation on the rocks. Good job on that. Sorry the trip was a bummer, next time!
B-)

Looks good - real slippery, slimy rocks Tricia. And the dirty water shows up well too.
We get that green colour too when the rocks are in contact with a lot of rainwater and salt water, and especially in an area that doesn't get too much sun.
Good one - and better luck next time
Janice

I see you need a make over from Mr Workshop. There was too much negative space in your original shot. I cropped for a pano effect. Also the seaweed rock had lost detail because of the shadows so I worked on the exposure.
Overall much more pleasing to the eye.
