[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Digging in my archives, I found this shot taken of the windmill in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park while I was with two TL friends. After taking the typical views of the windmill arms (hmmm...what is the correct term?) and POVs/compositions with more context, I decided to try something less expected. I liked the simple exterior with its small windows and weathered texture. The camera tilt was a last minute notion to add a touch of storybook mood. Certainly not an original idea:)

PP: standard RAW adjustments, added border, resized, jpegged, sharpened.

Hi Karen:
Looks like Don Quixote got a good piece of this windmill the arms have been battered off..wink wink..
The tilt in the pic I think works really well and gives a certain dynamic to the composition,if it was straight up then it would be very boring, here it almost makes me feel like I am charging the windmill myself... great effect... thanks for the ride..... Roman:0))))

Hi, Karen -
The last-minute camera tilt was inspired - the shot is interesting and eye-catching in part because of the slightly off-balance feel. Love the graphics of the worn overlapping shingles. Nice one!

Olá, Karen!

Great details and a very nice perspective.
Nice color tones and contrast, friend.
Congratulations and TFS :o)

Greetings from Brazil,
Bruno
