[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the more distinctive moments in the academic year at Juniata College is their mud volleyball tournament. They fastidiously prepare for this by requisitioning the local Huntingdon fire truck (I can only assume they have one truck for the size of the town) to hose down the dirt volleyball court until it is a pool of mushy goo.

This is a photo of one of the victors of the game. Look at the satisfaction on her muddy mug—totally worth it.

Ohhhh HAHAHA! I have a hard enough time playing ball without playing in mud! How cool...I can't imagine! Love the teeth! HAHA! Very different, very unique posting for the theme!

Well, Michael, she looks like a street mime artist, but then in the brownish version ;o).
Interesting and "sculpturesque" portrait, with a good depth of field.

She has mud in her teeth, ew! Is it me or is there a face on her shirt, look closely? It's funny to see the seemingly clean players behind her. Nice capture!

This girl looks one happy puppy she wouldn't look out of place at the Glastonbury Festival. Great sharpness to this colour good well done.

Hi Michael,

You could probably sell this shot to the gum maker that always starts their commercials with “dirty mouth.” This is a funny shot and well captured. There’s no doubt about the satisfaction on her face.

You've done well to scan this one in without losing any detail Michael.
I'm guessing the original is slide film, low grain too. 25 ASA?

It looks like she had great fun in the game.
I agree with your comment, "Totally worth it" indeed. you just gotta get out there and have fun, and you managed that with the shot.
