Using Kodak Portra 800ISO film, I got down in the blue bonnets and took a shot at their level. Took the roll and had it put on a CD and then processed from there.
I love film, I love the effects it gives.
Have a great day!

Hi Linda,

when I saw the thumbnail in the gallery I was sure I am looking at some oil painting. You are absolutely right...film really gives special effects.

I like this POV you have chosen...light and colors are great with nice sharpness and DOF.

Have a great day,

Stasa

Hi Linda,

This shot is so peaceful. Since blue is my favorite color, It relaxes me to view it. I like the softness of the photo. If Monet were a photographer, he would have taken this!! :)

Even though all of the flowers are not in focus, we certainly know what they look like. They seem to go on and on. The one thing that bothers me is you were probably laying down to take the photo. Aren't there all kinds of "critters" there? Brave, brave girl!! ;) Lisa

Hi Linda,
These ble bonnes are so beautfiul, I like this shade of blue very much. You chose a nice POV and proper DOF to capture them at ground level with bookeh effect. The panoramic crop looks great as well for this composition. Well processed experimental shot TFS!
Best wishes,
Kristof

Bom dia Linda,
The best resumé from this nice picture is words from Lisa: "This shot is so peaceful".
That is, a great post.

Hi Linda,
I really like the vibrant blue in these blue bonnets. The DOF here is really good with a nice bokeh. I agree with Stasa it has a painting like effect. Nice shot Linda.
Regards,
Kevin

Very nice crop Linda - suits the image very well.. Lovely saturated colour and excellent use of the narrow DOF.

Long live film :)

Cheers

Oh, Linda,
no wonder people still love shooting with film. What wonderful rich color and lovely detail. Those blue bonnets are such a pretty flower, too. Man, that's a pretty shot! Many thanks and warmest wishes,
Shelly

Absolutely, I have to agree - there are qualities here that simply don't seem to happen in digital cameras.

Nice job with the DOF and bokeh too.

Hi Linda,

OK, this is a teaching sight as well as a viewing one so I have to say this.Your quality of work is up there with the best on this site, so there has to be something here that I'm missing on viewing this one Linda. I'm not to keen on your DOF having just two flowers in focus, somehow interferes with the balance to me & the touch of pink in the background may be better not there it draws my attention too much away from the blends of blues. So if you have the time ,please educate me:)
Best Regards

Ron

Very, very moody photo, Linda! It has specific atmosphere of tranquility. Great blurred background. I love your bluebonnets.
Regards, Ewa

Boa tarde Linda
