[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Since April we have had an unusually large amount of rainfall where I live. The ground is saturated and cannot absorb the additional rain we’re getting. Yesterday we had a very strong thunderstorm in my neighborhood (not all areas got it) and judging by the flooding that occurred; we probably received a couple of inches of rain within a half-hour period. It was unbelievable! And just as suddenly as we got the rain, the sun came out (sorry, I looked but no rainbow). That’s why the lighting was a bit difficult in this shot.

This shot was taken on the side of my driveway where the stones had washed out and formed a mini river, rapids and all. Today, hopefully no rain.

Thanks for viewing and a nice Sunday to all!

Hi Werner !

Nice picture of you surprised. You are right, water has a hidden power and make different "sculptures" very interesting.

Have a quiet days,
Adrian

Hi Werner

I would have used a higher shutter speed & fstop, to get greater dof, in the fg. The diagonal axis of the rivulet adds superb dynamism. Good details of the repetitive small stones & rocks. I like the reflected highlights on the water surface. Tfs!

Hello!
Good POV,nice view.Good sharpness and details.
Lovely colours and nice chiaroscuro.
Very well done.
Greetings
Tadeusz

Hi Werner,
also such small and narrow water brook are much interesante for photograph. Good light, and colors and details.
Regards.
Eva

I do have to say - surprising that the field of focus is so shallow given the aperture you used. I would have assumed the entire shot to be sharp.

The composition here feels a little indecisive, as if you weren't quite sure how to frame it or where to crop - maybe I'm wrong?

Would've been interesting to try this with a much lower ISO (100) and the smallest aperture and then, using a tripod, go for a slow shutter speed to get that 'silky' effect of the moving water?

Also perhaps tighter framing at top and bottom to minimise the extent of the scene, a little? I still believe it's better to show too little - and provoke the imagination - than show too much and risk boredom. :)

Hi Werner,
Simple capture, but it shows the flow of water nicely. The rocks are nicely exposed, looks like they're getting a good wash in the process :).

TFS,
Scott.
