[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of two stained glass windows over the main doors of the mansion I posted yesterday (Hampton Mansion). I took several shots of the ornate glass from the inside and outside, and some with flash, but I liked the effect with this the best. This was without flash to capture the natural light through the glass. The upper portion of the blue shield suffered a bit from OE and I tried to correct by lowering brightness and using dodge/burn.

Hello Werner,

impressive stained glass. I like the way you have composed this image - bright central part and darkness all around it - because it really draws all the attention on the glass.

Great composition and framing, excellent light managment, good colours, great presentation.

hello werner,
i did not realize we are practically neighbors. i have not been to the hampton mansion but heard about it, sounds like a good excursion destination. the stained glass is well exposed, defined, and presented. my best regards...

This is a very good exercise in trying to shoot ambient light from the darkness. You managed it well, very good choice of Fstop IMO. I love stained glass! Nice work Werner!
