Me Daddy! And his look that mother doesn't buy into his stories, even after 55 years, he thinks she should believe every word he says! HA!
I had a lot of trouble getting Daddy to look up. My father has always told me to keep my eyes to the "ground"....and yes, I have found LOTS of things doing that, money, arrowheads, artifacts, watches, wallets etc.
But mother did zing him good and he looked up at her, with HIS look. I've seen this look so many times! HA! Dismay.
Thanks everyone!
B-)
Linda

Hi Linda

I like the sidewards glance here, & the textured lighting on the skin. Good dof & sharpness. A nice follow up shot, showing the flip side of the parental coin. Tfs!

These are pictures you will treasure more and more over time. Knowing them well I'm sure you can read exactly what they're thinking by these great expressions you've captured. Another very nice portrait. A very kind face. TFS

Bom dia Linda
Oh...father´s looks...there is a mix of hardness and bright tenderness. It´s a great gift this strong portrait.your parents have great personallities. He is very expressive too. Great portrait and very good note.
You have given a part of you in two portraits full of character. thank you!
um abraço
Teresa

Hello Linda,

Well, I must say, I think I know from where your strength of character comes from!!
This face is full of strength and determination.

I like the crop which puts the eyes in a strong position, and they are sharply focussed.
Excellent details of texture and tones.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Linda,

I think I can read his mind here! hahahaha Again, the filling of the frame with your subject works nicely. His expression is priceless. I like the folds, shadows, etc.. in his shirt in the foreground. It adds a nice border (framing) for his face. Tomorrow, you need to post one of you so everyone can see the similarities with both of your parents fresh on our minds! :) "Say cheese"! Lisa

Nicely done Linda. Good light. A family keeper for sure!

Not 100% sharp focus, however. I'm perplex with the 5.6 app.
There are no reason why his right eye should be out of focus besides the fact the is left is already.

Nice to have the 'set' in portraits, hehe. Another beautifully natural shot, full of character and personality. The light is good, the framing is tight and singleminded. It could possibly have a deeper field of focus, but I can see you were already working with a very slow shutter, and closing down the aperture would have made your job even harder!

hi linda,
i'm trying to catch up with everyones pics as i didn't post anything yesterday due to getting home late.

so this is your 'old faither' as we would say.
he has a lot of character. your image has given him the look of a wise old fox.
you probably added to the lines on his face throughout the years. ;-)
