Another gorgeous view of the Grand Canyon from the South Rim near Grand Canyon Village. If you tire of walking, there are shuttle busses running back & forth, along the adjacent plateau. The precipice here is around 7,000 feet above sea level.

Hi Chris,
Majestic POV on the Grand Canyon, it was good to include some people enjoying the same view as you. Fantastic landscape and rock formations, well used light with great sharpness. Well done, TFS!

Hi Neighbor,
Ahhh-- those blue blue skies. Beautiful post and well done with your settings. great vantage point TFS this Julie

Hello Chris,

For those of us who are unlikely to see these sights for real, this is a great way to see Nature's wonderful creations.
I love how you have detailed the strata, going backwards like huge giant's steps.
The blue of the sky makes a fine b/g contrast to the arid appearance of the land.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Chris your a braver man than me gion up here to take a shot but it was worth the efffort the details and colours are very good as is the pov you have chosen tfs

Someday I'll get here! This is nice Chris, nice thirds, seems a little over-sharp, or some compression problems, or it could be just the horizontal lines are affecting the pixels in a kind of moire pattern. Still, it's an incredible view!

Unbelievable view Chris. Great shot. Nice to see the viewing area on the right ... and nice to see guard rails .. I hear there are none in many areas there .. that would really freak me out .. I'd be waaaay back from the edge:)
I might have been tempted here, to crop up just a little higher from the bottom, to get rid of a little of that dark area bottom right. Still .. a beauty!!

Hi Chris,

The point of view leads our eyes toward the horizon which is giving depth to the composition. It is also allowing us to admire the colors and details of this area of the Grand Canyon. The picture is clear and sharp. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors of the scenery. Have a nice day.
