[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Matilda has that special beauty of being 20 with her life in front of her. This shot was converted in the channel mixer but the unusual thing was that the Blue channel brought out more depth of tones than the usual Red channel for someone of her coloring.

Beautiful portrait and a good use of the 85mm lens with little DOF.
I am surprised by the performance of the blue channel; perhaps it has something to do with her lighter than average skin tone. I always use the channel mixer while doing the B&W conversion and I will remember your note.

Very beautiful portrait of the beauty. Sweet and lovely expressions.

Nice work Roger, I love the softness this photo has, BW works really good with this. On my monitor it could be a "smidge" more contrasted. Just a tad.

Hi Roger,

Very well done portrait. The thing I like the most about this is that the B&W accentuates the sparkle in her eyes. My monitor sometimes plays tricks on me, but I tend to agree with Linda that the contrast could be bumped up a bit. TFS.

Best regards,
Werner

Hi, Roger -
Lovely portrait with a beautiful subject. Great expression. Her eyes are superb and you've captured them with particular clarity and excellent light. The background is smoothly blurred. Very nice portrait.

Nice honest and simple portrait in your usual impeccable style Roger.

If I may be honest, I don't think you have quite connected with her, the way you have with subjects in the past - she looks a little guarded or wary still.

But - given the confidence and the chance to spend more time in front of your lens, I can see her delivering amazing shots, hopefully there is potential for her to become a regular?
