Yet another shot from our TL/TE meet in Central Oregon. My wife always kids me about "another old wood shot" but I must admit I have a passion for wood and old barns. I do love the gold and brown tones found in the pine used in these barns. This is due in part because of the dry climate found from central California to central B.C.
I thought that since this barn was giving way to nature it shows what can happen when we don't R&R. Another shot was posted as a WS. Hope you like them.

I did some selective levels adjustments as well as warming it up a bit in the RAW converter. I used the unsharp mask at 80% with a 1 pixel radius. Some of the fine detail has been lost due to the resizing requirements of TL.

Hi Phil,
I share your passion for old barns too , wooden barns make terrific pictures on a good day, well any day , he he. You managed to keep some fine details despite the resizing , oh man it wouldn't take that much of a storm to bring it down so frail it appears ,oddly it's still up , amazingly sturdy somehow to have withstood the force of the elements till now , it has weathered real well i reckon , i like your point of view with the wheels leaning against the facade , tfs ,
Carol

Hi Phil, great light and color, I love the tree coming through the roof! Thanks, dave

Great one Phil. Looks like that roof isn't keeping much weather out anymore :) Funny to see the tree growing out of the back.
Nice warm wood colors .. I can see why this caught your eye. The irrigation wheel thingys are a nice addition too. I might have tilted the camera up a smidge so that there was a little less foreground, and a little more roof. Good job though.

Hello Phil, I recall seeing this barn before, but I can't remember who the photographer was.
I am sure that if I were there I would be taking shots of it too!
Lots of texture and pattern here, I like the trees growing through the roof.
Good title.
Tfs, regards Jean.
