[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I captured this butterfly in the park a few days ago. I really don't know what kind of butterfly this is. I just enjoyed watching him fly from flower to flower. Taking this shot was almost like a therapy session after a crazy day at work. There is nothing like a walk in the park with my D300 in hand to clear my mind.

For this I used my Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 lens mounted to my tripod. I set the aperture to f5.6 and the shutter speed to 1/250. I had the ISO a little higher than usual, set at 200. I used the higher ISO so I could use a faster SS because of a breeze coming off a pond by the flowers. In PP I just used Elements 7.0 to reduce noise and add my signature. I used Lightroom to adjust levels and saturation. I hope you like this shot and as always thanks for viewing. Have a great day.

Regards,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Very nice butterfly macro. Amazing sharpness and good use of lighting. It's a shame that the leaf to the right has been chewed by insects, but that can't be helped. TFS.

aahhh wonderful shot! excellent details and colors, rich colors too, great work, thanks scott

Very nice work on this Kevin! Your colors are nice and deep! I like the angle here! After a while it's hard to make a butterfly shot different from others. Your angle is nice. Good job on this!
