[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This past spring I took my Mamiya 645 Medium Format camera out of town with a roll of Kodak 800ISO Portra film and just did some playing around. I love the bokeh that the 80mm gives.

The colors are strong and vibrant, there is just something about it. And plus, every time I post film it's a crap shoot. Some folks love it, some hate it, but it gets people talking about photography, instead of the usual bickering and fighting that has been the norm for the past two years.

Have a great day!
B-)
Linda

Hi Linda

A wonderful mosaic of the purple flowers across the frame with excellent sharpness & framing. I like the shallow dof & diagonals. Tfs!

I really like this bokeh! This gives at the image a aspect of painting! Excellent focus. Gorgeous light on the leaves.

Olá Linda!

A foto tem umas cores harmoniosas.
Mas, qual o nome da planta?

hi linda, yes i can tell its film that has been scanned, i bet the original is awesome,
i prefer the digital capture when being viewed on a computer as its pure and clean, however seeing this original and as is the case with a good slide projected on the screen, i still say nothing beats film!

i still view my old slides and the details, colors and saturation are so good that it still amazes me, problem is when you scan the slide for the computer you lose so much its not even funny,

take care!
scott

Hi Linda,

Who doesn't like film!!! Makes me want to shoot some 35mm now, but I'd have to wait for processing (one gets used to instant gratification). Anyway, the blurry background is very nice against the sharp flowers in the foreground. We know what's there, but it certainly gives a softness and delicate look to the plant. Nice one, Lisa

i was just talking about you, today.. with my collegue and friend Sorapis (a new proselytized member here ;).. and we was talking about the extraordinary level of your posts..
it's not a secret that you are one of the best members here.. for quality and for quantity of your beautiful captures!!

thanks Linda
ciao Marco

In my course I'm learning about film, and old cameras right upto the first made. Also I am getting a very old camera that my grandmothers brother won in a rowing contest in about 1913!! Very exciting......so I've babbled enough but wanted you to know why your pictures are very interesting to me. I see what you mean about the sharp vibrant colors. Very beautiful Linda!!! TFS
