[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is an HDR shot from a single RAW image, taken last Christmas Day as I played with my new lens that Santa brought to me.
I love the textures of winter. And in Texas, yes, sometimes the grass in STILL green in December. Sadly this year, the brown grass has come from a state wide drought. Our spring was somewhat pitiful.
Hope you all have a great day!
B-)
Linda

Very nice Linda, good scene for HDR. I'm always looking out for places like this while I'm driving through the countryside. The natural colours have come out really well, the clouds are a nice feature too. I quite like the slight vignetting effect around the edges. Good job.

TFS,
Scott.

Bonjour warrior,
What a surprise, you changed your name! I imagine the lot of administrative troubles you overcame to do that!! :)
I admire this work! Your winter tones are finely rendered.
The gray sky and the faded yellow and brownish colors compose a superb colored harmony. This is the truth of winter season, here
Bravo! Annie

Hi Linda,
Aka Calamity, aka Hé You...Great light and soft colours these are the two main items which creates the mood in this picture. Well composed, simple and effective. Fine posting Cowgirl...

You have managed to cheer up my otherwise lousy day :) I got a bad back injury at work and spent the afternoon at the hospital. It appears I'll be 'idle' for awhile. But you know how I love these old barns, and this one is just buried in the long grass. Very pretty colors and good pov. I hope you took lots more of this place. TFS

Hi Linder,
This is a classic photo - it should be submitted. The clouds are full of mood and the bare trees make way for the view of the barn. Very well done and TFS Julie

This is a nice sharp image, with no noise as far as I can see - particularly impressive as it's an HDR shot from a single RAW file. Despite what "traditionalists" say about always bracketing from multiple images, I've found you can’t always do this outdoors – trees and plants tend to sway in the breeze between shots!

I love the dark sky and the rust on the barns.
