Cabin at the Gahr Farm
 |

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is the first photo from my vacation in Oregon, USA. For details on my trip, please see my traveloque.
While making sunset photos and some close up flower photos on the nature reserve of the Gahr Farm, I realized that our cabin was worth a photo as well, and not only as a memory. I positioned myself along the edge of the high grass and made sure that I was not too low so that the grass would block the distant hill. The luck was that there was also a moon to fill up the overall blank sky. I made three exposure so that I would be able to manage the highlights, midtone and shadows. |

Succeed Niek,
It's a very amazing shot from a beautiful and calm place.
Good sunset colors and very good focus.
Nice presentation.

Hi Niek
A wonderful blue sky with a superb choice of a vertical frame. The fg purple flowers make a good focal point. Good sharpness & contrasted light. Tfs!

Hello,
Magnigique ce chmaps en premier plan, parsemé de petit fleurs, la lune dans le ciel comme un tout petit croissant, très belle iamge. superbe.
Bravo et maitié

I love the merging you did with this Neik! I don't know if it's my monitor, or the photo, but it seems a bit pinkish. The only way to tell for me is the white house. It's a little pinkish. Maybe due to the different brackets here. I may do a WS..just for me...to play with it!
Welcome back!

Hello Niek,
I like this image on several levels. The sky has a gradation of tones, and of course, the moon is a nice touch. The high grass brings you into the image closely and creates a sense of depth in contrast to the house, etc. and the color subtlety and layers are nice. It reminds me of an Andrew Wyeth painting.
take care,
Richard
