Hello Ayda!
No problem for me with the background. Love the idea of the mask "unmasking": simple and efficient.
I'll have a tought for you this next days. Come back quickly!
Marc.

Hallo Ayda.
Nice to see you, without PP filters.
:-)))))))))
Hello Beauty! So good to see you sweetie. Just as beautifull behind the mask as the mask itself...i never doubted it. I hope your treatment will go well sweetie. I'll be thinking of you. Great shot Ayda, using the mask as symbol for the unmasking of the person. Wish you will be back with us shortly dear.
Hugs
Zandra

beautiful portrait of yours thanx for sharing!...bravo
Hello gorgeous!!
I'm sooo touched by this picture!!!!
You did such a wonderful job here.
And I absolutely loved the unmask idea: with this mask that reminds me of those from Carnival in Venezia...
Just amazing my dear... And your beautiful face, no "masks" and your beautiful smile... and tehr ed lips ;))
And no problems at all with the background. The way you did makes justice to the colurs of your face, hair and eyes...
that's... got out of words here ;))))
Wonderful Chiaraluna!!!
Be well and take care of yourself! And i really hope verythign oges fine and you come back soon.
Big hugs for you sweetie

Excellent self portrait. It is nice to see a smile.
This is an excellent example of the "Mona Lisa Smile" which I have been speaking of to others when they do portraits.
The eyes and lips are smilling without showing teeth. Perfect example. Beautiful composition.
Tip, maybe you can be a number of feet from the wall if the room allows you.
Hope all goes well and you will be feeling well quickly.
Mike
Ayda, that brighter side of the moon...yes...yes...yes...there's that smile I've been waiting to see since I first layed my eyes upon your works. What a great great way to present the light in your eye(also literally)and the unveiling of another self. Dear Ayda, that smile is gorgeous as well as your eyes.
I don't know if you remember this...but at one point in a conversation...uhh...it was a reply or critique to one of my picts about music I think. Anyway, you said something to the point of putting on a sexy red dress and going down to the piano shop and asking if you could do some self portraits on the piano's. Well, I never doubted you were beautiful before , but with this image I immediately remembered you mentioning the red dress and I saw more complete that vision of you at the piano place with this happy light in your eye and that smile which I think no one could refuse. It really makes me smile to see this shot...thank you for the growth in confidence and this wonderful post.
I'm not going to venture into some technical observations(even though that's the point of this site, but...) of the photo for the subject of you unmasking and that smile and your eyes is more than enough for my smiley. Two-fold more than enough! :O)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
take care my dear and I send the warmest energy to you for your treatments,
See you soon,
Michael
At last unveiled, a skilful portrait of a beautiful woman. Thanks for showing us this beautiful picture which I've put amongst my favourites. A real "sciantosa".
I wish you well for your treatment, give us a shout when you come back. I hope you will find skilled and fast doctors.
Ciao ed in bocca a lupo!

Very good portrait and always nice to use some props. One thing the light in the eye you used with pencil is to strong.

Carnival and seduction in a same shot. Carnival for the mask of course! It's beautifull! With a soft mood... with a sharp result! Great one!

Lovely portrait Ayda, and the mask is a great prop. You have a lovely face, but I think the NI maybe a bit too much. I find that their normal setting 60% is a bit strong. Have you tried 30%? Other than that it really is a nice shot. Sorry to hear you have to get some treatment. Hope you will feel better soon.

1. The focus is on your eyes - lively & lovely, joyfull, playfull, intriguing.
2. Maybe change the frame? The femme-fatale appearance requires something more .. hmmmm ... Moulin Rouge-like frame.
3. Take good care of yourself and best wishes for speedy recovery.
Compliments!

Well, unmasked indeed... and you look a lot better than the Governator, Ayda ;o). Nice colours all around, the noise is hardly noticeable. The only thing I'd have eliminated is the thin whiteish line next to the black inner frame. Just nit-picking, of course. TFS.
Take care and good luck on your treatment.

I think it's fair to say that I wasn't alone in waiting to see some color. Something outdoor perhaps, maybe in Chicago? Check out the *bean*, I don't think you'd be disappointed
:o)
Nicely done Ayda... more please.
;o)
All the best.
Finally! Exactly what I was imagining except maybe for the color of the hair! Very nice self portrait,Ayda,as usual! I would like to have also your feedback on Pbase! It is not a hurry...when you will be back! My thoughts and my heart will be with you for the next couple of days in Chicago! I even already took some advance! I am already there in mind waiting for you! Big hugs,my friend! Michel

Hello Ayda, beautiful Ayda,
Very good portrait, with a perfect composition.. just on holding away the mask.. and a smile comes from behind.. I like the way of division.. one side with mask, the other with a beautiful smiling face..
Perfect work..
Take care,
..Calayan

Wow! It's great to be back and to find you here playing with the mask instead of hidding yourself behind it!! The portrait is fantastic, I like your "teasing" pose and most of all, the special shine in your eyes, that here are bright and hopeful!!! Fantastic work. The photo is very well composed and has a wonderful light!
Congratulations Ayda!
Ana
PS: And... just here that no one can hear us, you are even more beautiful without the mask ;-) Ciao cara.

much too lovely for using neatimage
[please don't take that harshly - ok]
your other creative approaches to "portrait-processing" are so impressive
take this photo for example
easily could have chosen others
not to deny your audience the pleasure of this photo certainly
but neatimage is still hiding part of you ;-)
