| This fern frond was photographed at the Como Park Conservatory in St Paul, Minnesota. I've been visiting there since I was very young and always have found something new to marvel at. This photo started as a fairly bland macro with only the top of the frond in focus, an okay photo, but nothing special. So i took it into photoshop , and posterized it, which, to my eye gave it some ooomph. |

Hi Lois.I like this artwork. To have gotten only the top of the frond in focus makes it very interesting.I just learnt what frond means,I found it in my dictionary! But I am still learning with you, what do you mean by "posterize" (that word does not exist in my Robert & Collins dictionary)? The texture that you obtained makes me think of a program called Photochance using the oil recipe.I find the color contrast a bit low but the visual effect is good. This is also well composed.TFS

Hello Lois,
I agre with you!
This is really artistic!
The furls of the fern are very attractive, especially in their diagonal composition, and look just that bit different with the pp work.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)
