[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I still had to get used to the time difference which resulted in a early rise. To my surprise the outside temperature was just above freezing and I had to get back inside to grab a sweater, socks and shoes. After a quick wake-up from the cold air, we went for a hill on the back side of the reserve. Half way through our walk the sun started to appear above the hills and started to give color to the then cool blue fog. With a bit of a pace we move to a open spot and admired the beauty of nature. Of course admiring means making photos as well. The building that is just visible in the fog is the main house of the farm.

A few minutes after this photo the sun gained more power and burned the fog away quickly. The temperature raise and it was time to go back to the cabin, get breakfast and change into shorts, an t-shirt and flip flops.

Lovely soft tones in this composition. The fog gives a mystery touch. Well done
Best regards
John

Nice composition and a good capture of this sweeping morning mist lit by approaching day. A nice subtle gradient through the sky, this would be a good case for a ND graduated filter on the lens, further reducing that sky and bringing more balance to the shot?

Prachtig zeg, wat een sfeertje Niek! Je hebt al die laagjes heel mooi gevangen in je foto... een topper!

Hi Niek - I love the capture of the early morning fog, something I've never done and it always impresses me. Beautiful and atmospheric. Personally I think the sky adds very little and I'd be tempted to crop a lot of it out and focus on the scenery and fog. I like this shot, Niek.

hi niek, the mist was captured very well with good exposure, that open sky i am not sure of or sure of what i would of done, always a challenge to capture this type of shot and you did well though!
tfs,

Hi Niek
The fog is awesome in this shot, even the harsh like light shows the beauty. Well thought composition and handling of encountered light.
Regards
Jim

Hi Niek,
Like the mysterious mood here, although the upper part of the sky appears a bit too bright to me. Nonetheless the composition is very interesting, wonderful to observe how the trees rise from the fog. Fine posting Niek.
